January is the time to catch up with the hinds (season ends 15th Jan here). Plenty of deer about and it is dead easy to shoot first one presenting a shot, but it's not the point. Good management practice is to take young and old hinds (these without calves at foot) and leave mature and leading hinds.
We had some low temperatures and crunchy snow, not the best stalking conditions, but I managed to get close and take a shot.

Styczeń to najwyższy czas żeby nadrobić plan odstrzału łań jeleni poza tym polowanie na jelenie to czysta przyjemność... no jest też trochę pracy, ale to później i szybko się o tym zapomina.
Jeleni jest sporo i łatwo jest odstrzelić pierwszą z brzegu łanię, ale chodzi o to żeby robić to z głową i wybierać sztuki młode lub stare i nie prowadzące cieląt zostawiając dorodne prowadzące łanie w średnim wieku.
W styczniu mieliśmy ładną zimę, ale jak mówi przysłowie "gdy pod nogami chrupie, zwierzyna ma myśliwego w ..." i nie jest łatwo coś podejść na pewny strzał. W końcu się jednak udało.

Pamiętaj Drogi Widzu, że większość moich filmów na napisy, więc gdy chcesz podczas oglądania widzieć moje komentarze, włącz sobie tę funkcję (CC - closed captions).
