Midnight Sun Rifle Challenge 2017 is THE Scandinavian competition to participate in if you want to develop yourself as a shooter. Good infrastructure, nice people and nice scenery. Come and explore yourself as a shooter.
This is stage 13, Accurate milling:
7 minutes, 5 targets, 10 shots. Target size unknown. Target range unknown. Orange marker 100 cm long placed next to each target. Shoot targets one time in order 1 to 5. Repeat and shoot targets with a second shot in order 1 to 5. Score points for each hit.
Training and strategy tip for this stage:
The LR Proficiency test will give you the basic skills needed for this stage. A 1st focal plane reticle with an mrad scale is a great help for this stage. Measure the orange bar with the reticle mrad scale. Use very light pressure on the rifle to get an accurate reading. Write down the measurement. Use a Truemiller or Mildotmaster, combine the mrad measurement and dimensions for the orange bar and read off the range. Write target range down. Setup and shoot the target. Repeat. Once target 1 to 5 has been shot, you have the ranges written down and can shoot target 1-5 much faster the second time. This stage requires no stress, but work at a steady pace.
In this film the shots shown are not matched to the actual shooter.
